We start our 4-day tour from Agadir to Marrakech with a drive up into the Atlas Mountains to the town of Taroudant; often called “Little Switzerland” as it has similar medina walls. We continue then to Taliouine; famous for its saffron production and then Taznakht; famous for its carpets and rugs. We cross then to the High Atlas range and visit the fortress ksar of Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO world heritage site since 1987 and a famous location used by film producers and directors. After lunch we continue to the Hollywood of Africa; Ouarzazate, to visit one of the film studios where there are still intact sets used in some blockbuster movies like Gladiator, Game of Thrones, and Cleopatra. From Ouarzazate, we leave the mountains and discover our first oasis; Skoura is a palm grove with many hidden kasbahs, the landscape changes again then until we reach the Valley of the Roses with its rose-colored kasbahs and fields lined with Damascus roses. This is a fertile river valley called the Dades which feeds all the small fields of crops, fruits, and vegetables. We continue along this road to Tinghir and up into the Todra Gorge where we stop for lunch in this vertical walled canyon In the afternoon, we turn south through more oases filled with date palms and adobe houses and towns like Erfoud and Rissani until we find ourselves in the vast open landscapes of the Sahara and the town of Merzouga. Our camels will be waiting for us to take us off into the golden dunes to watch the sunset and to take us to our camp for the night. In Erg Chebbi, you will live as the nomads with dinner and music around a campfire and the star-studded sky above you, the silence and peace

If you wake up early enough, you can discover the magic of a desert sunrise; a very special time and a memory you will always remember. We return by camel to the hotel for breakfast and to freshen up. Our adventure continues as we discover the market town of Rissani, and the desert towns of Alnif and N´Kob with their beautiful kasbahs. We will stop for lunch here and in the afternoon take the off-road option to meet the mighty Draa Valley with its vast palm oasis and ancient lifestyle. In the ksar of Agdz, we will spend the night with half board.

After breakfast, we drive up the valley to Taznakht; famous for its Berber kilims and woven carpets. We return to Agadir crossing the Tizi n´Ikhsane and Tizi n´Tighatine passes of the Atlas Mountains. We stop to have lunch in Taliouine, this is the main saffron growing area of Morocco and harvest usually takes place in October. In the afternoon, the road takes us on to Taroudant and then to Agadir which we reach by the end of the afternoon.
